ARCH1101 Week 4: Developed Sketchup Model

Perspective Images:

As shown in the images above, the use of texture has been very minimal as I feel that there are only minor aspects where texture adds to the overall form of the building. In addition, I also feel that doing so also helps emphasise the concepts which are dictated by my selection of two words which were "sharp" for "the_kyza" located below ground and "minimalist" for "Trent Jansen Studio" located above ground.

ARCH1101: Improved Sketchup Model with Rough Sketches and Ideas

Stairs/ ramp designed to create the appearance of a performance car spoiler which links back to its use for "the_kyza ". Additionally the stairs themselves are built onto the two of the many diagonal columns that support the roof and above space of the structure.

The stairs for "Trent Jansen Studio" are inscribed by simple cubic volumes highlighting the minimalist nature while the steps themselves are becoming lighter as it extends upwards. The changes in angle of the path of the staircase have been done to retains its simple form while being unconventional.
